Angelika is a very smart girl. When she still had her hair, she looked much older and more serious than the majority of the children of her age. Angelika has a tumor in the spinal bone of the lumbar area - anaplastic ependymoma. She had a surgery done on January 19 in Kiev, at the Neurosurgery Institute. Her surgeons were Prof. Orlov and Prof. Protsenko. As soon as she recovered a little bit after the surgery, she was transferred to Kharkov for radiotherapy and chemotherapy (Vincristine). Unfortunately, Angelika is unable to walk – her lower body got paralized after the surgery.

However, the neurosurgeons say she will eventually walk because it takes a lot of time to recover after such a surgery. In such a condition, Angelika’s mother had to take her every day for 6 weeks in a row to the hospital for radiotherapy all across the city. Angelika has also completed the first block of chemotherapy. It will be a long and expensive treatment. Besides, she doesn’t feel the bowel movement and urinates unintentionally. Her mother has to buy diapers and pads, which are expensive. This family is from the town of Trostyanets, in Sumy region. They also need help with buying food. There is a kitchen at the hospital where Angelika’s mother could cook. The problem is that she doesn’t have any money for the groceries. You can reach Angelina’s mother Mordanyova Angelina at +38 095 415 1377.
