Holidays and everyday life of Vlad Krylov

Yesterday I met Vlad Krylov and his mother. He started the third block of high-dose Metotreksat. Vlad wasn’t able to go home for a few days between the blocks of chemotherapy because he had a very low blood count, stomatitis, and fever. He had to stay at the hospital. On June 1, Vlad had a lot of fun running around and playing soap bubble game with other kids. He was one of the most active participants of the party we organized at the hospital on the occasion of the International Children’s Day.

However, it was not enough for Vlad: after the party he ran to the hallway to climb the kids’ ladder. He has so much energy! But yesterday Vlad didn’t run around at all. How can you run if you are hooked up to an IV? I also learned that Vlad is a very loving boy. A few days ago during the ward round, when his doctor Vera Gavrilovna was busy examining Vlad, he told her, “You are a goddess” and blew her a kiss. The doctor was astonished. All she could say was, “That’s why I love you so much.” There was another surprise waiting for Vlad yesterday: I gave him $100 donated by Delroy and Heather Cowan from the Cancer Kids Foundation (USA) and a pair of brand-new summer shorts donated by Lyubov Pavlova. Natasha from Kherson donated to Vlad 5 vials of Vincristine, which he will need for the second protocol of chemotherapy. Thank you very much for supporting this boy!
