Igor Savchenko urgently needs $2,000

Igor Savchenko urgently started a block of chemotherapy today in Moscow. Although the results of the histologic analysis are not ready yet, the doctors still decided to start the block of chemotherapy because the doctors in Kiev wasted a lot of time and simply delayed Igor’s treatment. We were literally begging them to give Igor a surgery but they refused to do so. Igor will have three days of chemotherapy. The results of the histologic analysis will be ready next Monday. The only concern the doctors have is that the results will show two different types of cancer. As soon as Igor has the staples removed on Tuesday, he will go back to Kiev with the recommendations regarding his further treatment. Igor’s mother has already paid $4,000 to the hospital, which covered 6 bed-days, anesthesia, laboratory tests, treatment at the intensive care unit, and histologic analysis. However, she needs to pay $2,000 for 6 more bed-days. This amount of money is way too heavy for a family of five that has only one breadwinner. Please, help Igor. He has to complete the treatment. No other hospital, including the National Cancer Institute in Kiev, will admit him for treatment. He can complete it only in Moscow, where he is right now.
