Bogdan Balashov passed away on August 10. Dozens and dozens of people were connected to this child through their prayers and love. Bogdan was the youngest child in the family of six kids.

As is often the case, Bodgan just bruised his leg. Nothing to worry about, we thought. But the pain in his leg didn’t go away. In July Bogdan started having fevers. The blood count showed very low hemoglobin. The doctors suspected leukemia and Bodgan started the first course of the chemotherapy. But when we sent his analysis to Kiev so that to confirm the diagnosis, we were shocked to find out that Bogdan was misdiagnozed.
In Kiev they diagnozed him with the Ewing’s sarcoma. But the chemotherapy has been already started and the course of the disease has changed leading to multiple metastases all over his body. Bogdan is the sixth and the youngest child in the family. His mother has to stay at home to look after all their kids. Three years ago his father got injured. Now he is severely disabled. The doctors will try their best to save Bodgan’s life. The parents have to buy a lot of medicines. For this family, any cancer drug is too expensive.
