Julia passed away today at about 2 p.m. in her mother’s arms. She was fully conscious. In four months she could have celebrated her fourth birthday. Julia spent the last two weeks of her life at the intensive care unit suffering from the unbearable pain. Although her parents understand everything, they refuse to believe it. Thank you for helping this family. We did everything we could to save Julia’s life.

Julia Sinezhuk, DOB January 2, 2005, Ewing’s sarcoma with damage of the flank bone and metastasis in the right lung

Julia started complaining about pain in her right leg in November 2008. Since she lives in a very distant village, it took her parents a while to make an appointment with the oncologist. The doctor at the local hospital said there was nothing wrong with her. He said she just got tired after running all day and prescribed massage and thermal procedures. However, the pain wouldn’t disappear. Julia had so much pain that she couldn’t sleep at night. When her parents decided to take her to the regional hospital, they wouldn’t even think Julia had cancer.

But that’s exactly what she was diagnozed with - Ewing’s sarcoma with damage of the flank bone and metastasis in the right lung. Julia and her mother went to Kiev for the consultation. She was prescribed 8 blocks of chemotherapy. Most likely, she will need an endoprosthesis and post-surgical chemotherapy. Julia’s mother takes the treatment of her daughter VERY seriously. She is an adherent of the Seventh Day Adventists church. Please, support this family with your prayers and donations.

Unfortunately, Julia’s mother doesn’t have a phone number. If you decide to help this family, please feel free to contact us. We will let you know how you could do that.
